In the world of SEO and top Google listings, I learned this week that sometimes random, whimsical content can gain a #1 ranking. A playful blog post I wrote in 2013 is the top hit of more than 3 million entries for — are you ready? — The Stripper Name Formula! Is the topic relevant? Is it unusual? Is it popular? Apparently so! Is the piece my most “high-quality content?” Hmmm. I find it all more hilarious than anything else, but I’ll let you be the judge while having a bit of midweek fun in the process. 👑💐

Despite the day of the week, March 31st is International Transgender Day of Visibility! 🏳️⚧️ So please take some time today to honor and celebrate the lives of all trans people. They are our friends, family, neighbors, colleagues and clients. Transgender, nonbinary and gender expansive people deserve, as do all humans, to live safely and thrive, free from bias, discrimination and acts of violence. This is where you and I come in. Because trans allies must also be visible, today and every day. There are currently FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-EIGHT anti-trans bills being considered in FORTY-ONE U.S. states, FIFTEEN of which have passed, and FORTY-FIVE national bills. As extremist anti-trans bills across the country have broken records four years in a row, those numbers are expected to grow. But guess what? You don’t have to live in a state to call its governor and voice your opposition to anti-trans legislation that’s targeting the most vulnerable among us. Below, thanks to Trans Legislation Tracker, are the states and number of current anti-trans bills. Each governor’s phone number can be found at the National Governors Association website (nga.org) STATE & NUMBER OF BILLSOklahoma 60Missouri 44South Carolina 32West Virginia 30Iowa 28Tennessee 27Mississippi 19Idaho 18Kansas 17New Hampshire 17Wisconsin 17Minnesota 16Florida 12Kentucky 12Virginia 11Wyoming 11Arizona 10Georgia 10Ohio 9Michigan 8Utah 8Illinois 7North Carolina 7Alaska 6New Jersey 6Hawaii 5Nebraska 5Rhode Island 5Washington 5Alabama 4Indiana 4Louisiana 4Pennsylvania 4Maryland 3Oregon 3New Mexico 2New York 2South Dakota 2California 1Massachusetts 1Vermont 1Together we absolutely can make a difference.
